There will be something in baseball, but when or whether fans can attend, who knows? I'm sure the Plague won't be gone by "pitchers and catcher report day" in February, or for normal spring training in March. I doubt it will be gone by April, and I think it's even money whether we'll have enough vaccinations by July. On the plus side, anyone who still doesn't believe in science will be made to believe in Darwinism.
As of now, the Marlins are selling opening day tickets for April 1st. Could that be an April Fools Day joke? I dunno if there's a limited number or how they plan to handle social distancing, etc. Right now, the Spring Training site in West Palm Beach is set up for Covid testing. Hide and wait, I guess.
Are you supposed to get a shot, having already experienced the wonders of Covid? What is your doctor saying, at this point?
The current Wisdom is that even recovered Covidites, if that's a word, should get the vaccine. But I'm not sure on the theory. It may simply be that science does not yet know how long the antibodies hang around. But if that's so, no one has yet explained to me how long the vaccine is good for (tetanus, for example, is good for 10 years), and if it's good for longer than the antibodies, why is that? Like, if you get mumps, you can never get it again. So I don't feel any need to try to push to the head of the line (nor for Wife and Son), but when it's our regular turn, I will ask these questions.
