i am learning english in hindi. i have acquired a very fun 2-way english-hindi dictionary (from the 'teach yourself' series. it's quite unique because it provides the romanised reading of the hindi word next to the hindi script which is totally amazing for lazy people such as myself

and it could have been 'chikan' a type of lucknowi embroidery, so don't down yourself gal.

i am getting to the stage where i forget some letters. eg: the character you us to write 'hr'itik or 'hr'ishi. this is extremely pathetic, since my mom was a hindi teacher..
