what a coincidence! Over the weekend I was just reading about the Konark Sun temple and the jagannath temple at Puri!

really? you want to visit orissa? i can suggest a few places. i did visit jaganath temple and we were so so so close to jaganath! mayfair lodge is really nice and has hotels in puri and also bhubenswer. the beach/river/sea confluence is at a wildlife reserve in between puri and konark. of course there is also the shanti pagoda on the outskirts of bbsr and a cool rock cave (along with other temples like lingaraj (my most intense temple experience)in the city.

birla is everywhere in calcutta! one of those industrial powerhouse families. i would have loved to visit more of their museums if i had time.

yes. Planning a trip to India in sept/oct and wanted to see these two temples and some R&R around there. Mom wants to see the temples of TamilNadu. So lets see how it goes. Don't think we can combine both - even though they are close by. Will prolly write to you as we firm our plans.

Glad you are getting to travel and enjoy as well; and I hear its actually cold in Delhi! :-))

hopefully you plan to share more pics! :-P
