a sadistic experience

Dec 02, 2010 17:47

Time passes too quickly. Every minute passes is a minute nearer to our deathbed. What is this? Makes me even want to absorb my loneliness even more.

Time passes too furiously, too swiftly without even you knowing it.

Every second you waste is a second irretrievable.

there's this speech that an old dying man performs in the film "magnolia." it's been awhile but he starts it off with something to the effect of:

"life isn't short. it's LONG. it's LONG motherfucker, it's soooo looong."

i guess, since it was different, it's supposed to grip you. and i guess it worked because i still remember it, to this day. i don't know if the character is really supposed to believe those words, like. it almost feels like he was trying to convince himself, the way he get's all passionate and angry about it for a second.

i related to it.

and that's what your post made me think of.

i never thought that the duration of a mere mortal's life would be *long*...

i dun think 50 or 60 odd years on earth would be considered as *long*. well, to me anyway.

recently i keep thinking/contemplating about *time*. probably it's becos it's december :( and everybody's getting older with me.
