What I'm supposed to be working on

At work we're doing these PreK-2 phonics coloring books. I didn't write them, but I have to illustrate and design them. Here are some of the pages from this story called "Ben". I'm no chicken farmer, but I always thought I could tell the gender of fowl based on whether they were referred to as "hen", "rooster", and so on. My whole world is shot to ( Read more... )

wow! that is all super professional sounding! weren't you like a student or something last time we talked? what the heck?

i like the subtle tones of sensuality hinted at in the final illustration.

Wow! Has it really been 2 years since our last conversation???? ;-)

I'm glad you picked up on the sexual undertones of that drawing. I've actually been doing that deliberately in some stories... hiding phalices in the picture, creating gay-ish characters....i've got my own little agenda.

I still think some kid is going to point out that a hen can not be a "ben". oh well. the drawings look fantastic. In other news. . . . we have a baby owl in our backyard, he is the cutest thing I've ever seen. We tried to take a picture of him but it didn't come out too good. I think we need to name him. Maybe Ben???
