I've managed to find a few editorials that sum up my feelings on the course of action for progressives over the next four years pretty neatly, and thought I'd pass them on to you. Enjoy

What's next?

We should be asking eachother every week what we have done and what we plan to do. A buddy system for keeping going. The right has a pretty big grass-roots effort. Their efforts are consistent. Right now, they are hammering the Senate judicial committee with letters which ask them not to allow Specter (a moderate) to head the committee. We need to get organized. We need to form the secular backlash. In fact, I'm suprised moveon.org hasn't been sending out any action updates since the election. I've sent Specter (who is my senator) a letter of support. Let's keep the ball rolling.

What is the progressive vision? What kind of world do we want? I'd like to hear some of your thoughts. We should get rolling on discussing this. I think Obama's speech is a rich source of ideas for what vision might take shape.

Agreed. When I've got a bit more free time from classes, I'll put in some of my thoughts.

In the meantime, why not repost this as an actual post? Should serve to draw more people's attention to it, and it seems well worth discussing.
