To say it's been a rough couple months would be an understatement. Just about everything that could go wrong did. Sick me, sick car, sick bike, sick dogs. Deaths. Work has been hell.hell. Worse than I could ever have imagined. Finances got messed up due to a snafu with my property taxes that may or may not ever be resolved.boo

This post is full of stuff that I find interesting, but doesn't really leave room for comments. Sounds like you got a plan. Sorry to hear about all the suckage.

If I were in your position, I would do everything I could to figure out what that indifinable thing was that kept you from being happy with Heather. I think you owe it to yourself and the relationship you just ended, but more importantly I think if there's a chance of it or something like it standing in the way of the next potentially great relationship, you need to do everything you can to learn from this experience.

This post was actually mostly for me. I wasn't fishing for conversation or comments. They are still appreciated though! Thanks for your encouragement. I've been doing a lot of soul searching the past few weeks, come up with some interesting stuff...maybe not.

For the record, if my car would make the trip...I'd come up for weekends more often but little Pierre has run his last marathon.
