Scale Wars

First, and foremost, I want to say that 100pounds2lose is the most amazing, supportive weight-loss community on LJ. I know that if I need advice or input, I can turn to the awesome people in that community to help... which is why I, in turn, spend so much time responding to people on there.

If you're stepping up your workouts you probably need to take in more calories. My weight does that when I burn too much and don't take in enough. But you're doing well, keep it up!

Yea, that's definitely something to consider. I'm not increasing my cardio time though, I'm just adding strength training and doing harder difficulty on cardio so that's probably why I didn't think to try that. Depending on how my weigh-in goes on Sunday, that might be what I try next! Thanks!!!

Don't get too bummed, water weight drops off insanely quickly. I lost 6 pounds in 3 days a month or so ago. And stepping up your workout may have a lot to do with it. Every time I start working out harder or adding something new, my weight either holds steady or goes up a few pounds for a few days. It will drop off, I'm sure of it. But totally understand the crush that comes with stepping on the scale and seeing a gain. You're doing awesome, keep it up girl!

Thanks so much! I decided that I'm not stepping on the scale again until Sunday because I can't handle the mental stress that it's causing me lol. At this point, after going over everything in my head... it HAS to be water weight. I haven't eaten anywhere even CLOSE to enough to make me gain ANY real weight so I'm crossing my fingers that by Sunday it's back to normal! I'm going to have to not let myself do that again! This is what weighing myself daily does to me haha :]
