Aspen is being such a cutie right now. She's talking and smiling away, makes me want to squeeze her :) I'm going to miss her at this age, what a bummer, but life will be fun

don't worry. there is no way nathan would be able to take aspen. for one, courts always favor the mother. for two, nathan has a criminal record. for three, i think the courts would be satisfied that you are living with your dad, so aspen IS being financially supported, and is living in a stable environment. for four, nathan doesn't pay child support -- why would the courts give aspen to him when he hasn't shown parental interest (financially) so far?
yeah, it's so unlikely to happen that it isn't worth worrying over. but if you are worried about custody battles, you could try to get nathan to sign away his parental rights, and maybe in the future whoever you marry can adopt her. the only reason nathan might want to do that is because he'll never have to pay you child support nor be legally obligated to aspen. on the flip side, you have complete control of her.
I couldn't ask that of Nathan, I know he loves Aspen. It is kind of a bummer that we haven't had any help from him. Which reminds me that I need to call the post office.

Maybe you should seek an annulment. You don't have to accept his verbal abuse and if you do get the annulment it might mean the end to any hopes of child support, but maybe not. In any event, he isn't taking care of you and Aspen financially. If he should continue to be abusive, you can also ask the courts for a restraining order.
hahhahaha, all of your ignorance amuses me. aspen needs a mother as smuch as a father and right now mother can care for her better. i asked you about child support and you declined. and maybe if you didn't whore it up i wouldn't call you one.

sorry that all of this is going down. even though there are "bads" on both sides the fact is courts rule for majority mom's almost always. and i think if it came to that hopefully they would see that you really do care and are the best for her. i do hope this all works out for the best you really do deserve some luck in your future.
