Then I switched to thinking each day: Self, something's going to top this tomorrow, so don't worry about today's insanity.

And yet, here I am, staring at a girl in a kangaroo costume screaming that she wants to be petted. And incidentally is a ninja. This is stuff out of the fevered dreams of lunatics. Yes, even more than Haruhi.'

[ Tenten just sort of stares at him in return but, as the seconds slowly pass, her stare becomes rapidly more agitated. With someone as pushy and tactless as Tenten, the next line is more or less a given. ]

Well, are you going to pet me or not!? [ |: choose your options carefully Kyon!!!!!! There is a Kangaroo kunoichi that demands pettings. ]

No, I was talking to the other kangaroo right next to you. [ Tenten's ability to use sarcasm is probably the best technique in the entire leaf village. ]

[Zenigata blinks, watching the extremely strange spectacle of a young girl in a suit demanding to be petted. At first he wonders if its some sort of modern art display, but then...oh wait...theres something weird going on. The Panda Incident, and Lupin's stealing his jitte were enough...]

Uhhh...you want me to uh...pet you? Like...a puppy or something?

[ Oh. She sort of knows about the jutte being stolen. Anyways, Tenten nods to the man's question and relaxes as she crouches a bit for better access. ]

Yeah. Exactly like a puppy. Can you please do it? Pretty pretty please? [ She looks at him with eager eyes in hopes that she'll get petted. ]

[Zenigata does exactly what she wants, patting the girl on the head. This has been a screwy week]

[ The pat earns KangaTenten a nice long yawn of ecstasy. ]

I'm just great. Why do you ask? [ She knows, she knows ): It really is too unusual but she can't openly express this for some reason. She has to be a kangaroo, and she has to like it. Her posture will slouch slightly, indicating she's totally relaxed. ]

Nothing special about this. But when she passes by and hears Tenten shouting, Madoka first lets out a shriek due to her own horoscopes. ]

It's no problem, but nothing terrifying is going to happen here unless you hate Kangaroos or dislike petting them. [ Though Tenten doesn't mean this in a threatening way, which may be perceptible to Madoka, it's equally perceptible that Tenten meant in a, "nothing is scary here unless you have these two fears" way.

Yes, please! I've been feeling impulses to be petted all week but now I just can't take it anymore! [ She skipped out on training just for this very important purpose.. She gets into position, which involves somewhat lowering herself so an arm can travel around her faster. ]

I tried but then it's like my body and my mouth gained a mind of its own. [ It's an odd favor, but at least it's easy to repay besides something ridiculous and tedious like weapon shining duty. ]
