That was a 90 minute episode and fully half of it was a waste of time. I mean, more than usual: Some Like It Hot Dog

The actual runway was fabulous, but they're really reaching for the sponsors with the Lassie insertion. The outfits were completely ridiculous - there wasn't any time to do anything but slap some material like a sausage around the dog. It wasn't bad to see the contestants having fun, but it really was a stupid filler product placement.

Did you see the news that Viktor Luna is having his outfits come down 59th Street via horse carriage this Wednesday for Fashion Week? I'd love to go, actually.

Speaking of fashion week, did I hear right, - four days for eight looks for the final runway? That's just cheating the viewers of decent final looks.

Also, I should say about the actual looks this week: I'm not surprised Michelle and Helen were in a faceoff, though Helen really should have been out based on her dress alone. The faceoff looks were just awful. Michelle's work is more interesting as a whole, but that PANcho (I don't think that's how it's pronounced) was ugly and non-functional. But whatever. I actually think Sonjia's dress would have improved drastically if she had not done the miniskirt under the lace, and dropped the skirt all the way to the floor/lined the whole lace thing down to the ankle.

Helen is so annoying, probably why she got a place in the final. They need people to root for someone to lose, if nothing else.

I think her intent was "pant-cho," as in "pants + poncho." But it was horribly fugly. And she only used 2 (not 3) looks, so she didn't fulfill the requirements of the challenge, so I'm not surprised she was out. :-(

I award extra Nice Guy Points™ to Michelle for trying to get Helen to recover from her on-runway in-challenge meltdown, though.
