"I actually stuck my hand under the correct step, either completely missed the little black box that concealed the C.O.I.N. or dismissed it as part of the staircase"

You have no idea how happy that makes me. I picked the spot for the COIN, and then when I taped it there, I took a few steps back and said to myself sadly, "Well, that looks really conspicuous."

Apparently Ertch was having health issues and had to make his way back to HQ to recuperate, which was a bummer.

Ertch is not in the best shape. The culmination was trying to run through the snow for the first reconvening. At least that snowbank was soft.

Someone-I-forget, right after I said I was going to stay behind at HQ for the rest of the runaround: "If you don't go, you might miss us finding the coin!"

Me: "If I do go, I might miss finding this or any future coin, ever."

If I'd known how close we were to the coin when you went back to HQ, I'd've made you push through. Ah, well. There's always 2011, right?

I appreciate it, but you may not be aware of just how very loudly my body was screaming at me at that point, even after I had only been walking around slowly for 15 minutes to end up back at HQ.

2011? *eye twitches involuntarily*

Two whole years! You've got plenty of time! What better reason could there be to get in shape than a heated neck-and-neck runaround with another team? ;)

I am still sad we did not backsolve that answer while waiting in the Leah hallway. Since we had internet, and cell phones where they could call us, it was entirely possible for us to do so. I'm sure it would not have been the first time a team called in answers during the runaround.

I was the one who volunteered to stay behind as Ralph, and I got told in person about the DRAGONFLY thing, and the necessary number, before the team had even left the site. So I jumped right in to doing a lot of reading lists of names and counting. I finally got to Y and found there was no Y instruction on the sheet, so stopped with 8 possible answers ready to submit (which got cut to 4 or 5 by the time I was called for these, as other people had found some instructions impossible).

Actually, now that I've reread this entry and looked at the data again, yeah... we possibly should have tried.

Actually, I'm pretty sure that it was Jenn herself who put the clue on the floor by her feet when we got to the locked room in building 2 (and I already told you off of here that I thought Kaitlyn was the photographer with the map).
