The latest GAMES: World of Puzzles came in the mail yesterday. It looks like they really have permanently dropped their contest puzzles - I was hoping the last issue was just an anomaly. It's a shame, since the contest puzzle had become one of the only satisfying solves in the issue. What's actually inspired me to post, though, is this incredible ( Read more... )

I cut myself off from both GAMES and World of Puzzles a couple of years ago. Reprints that aren't marked as such, awful errors ... I wish I could just buy the good parts. (Hoping Puzzlecraft will be its own book one day.)

Seconded. And only because I can't also third it, fourth it, fifth it, and so on...

I gave up on World of Printing Errors myself when they royally bollixed up the "new Japanese logic puzzles" special section in the May 2008 issue. Tatami Mats 2 has multiple solutions, and Knight Spots 5 is missing an entire column of the grid. And I've only done about a third of the puzzles in that section so far.

...And it's the only puzzle magazine I've been published in... the irony, it burns.... - ZM
