I have a ridiculously large number of balls in the air right now, which all need to be juggled and HANDLED by the end of the year (before, actually

NaNoWriMo is National Novel Writing Month, November, of each year. I HIGHLY recommend it if you enjoy writing even just a little bit. I had a blast last year, and plan to do it every year if I can.
Here's how the website describes it:
"... a fun, seat-of-your-pants approach to novel writing. Participants begin writing November 1. The goal is to write a 175-page (50,000-word) novel by midnight, November 30.
Valuing enthusiasm and perseverance over painstaking craft, NaNoWriMo is a novel-writing program for everyone who has thought fleetingly about writing a novel but has been scared away by the time and effort involved.
Because of the limited writing window, the ONLY thing that matters in NaNoWriMo is output. It's all about quantity, not quality. The kamikaze approach forces you to lower your expectations, take risks, and write on the fly."
DO it. You'll be surprised what comes out of your head (I mean that in a good way). :)
Last time, I had a character in mind and an attitude. Besides that, I just let it flow when I started. I did really good til I got to strategizing the plot, then I kind of fizzled out. I was trying too hard. I'm going to try not to let that bother me this time. We'll see!
Since last Nov, I've been working more on the one I started and have enjoyed every minute of it!
Thanks! I did a quilt for my mom for the first time a few years ago. I guess I like to go BIG with my projects. :) Good luck on yours, too!
