I saw this on FOX Nation's website earlier today and it put the biggest smile on my face.

Now if we can get all the people who hold pro-life values to start voting prolife things will start improving :)

I wonder how President Obama will take this, if he chooses to acknowledge it. He's for listening to the majority, correct? Now that we're finally the majority, I want to see some change in the pro-life favour.

If that were to happen my respect for Obama would increase SO greatly.

Well, it obviously doesn't apply to my friend's list. I made a post last night about being anti-abortion as related to another post I read about a woman who has just given birth to a micro-premie and her struggles to begin breastfeeding the baby, and I've gotten 4 private messages telling me how wrong I am and that, moreover, I shouldn't put things like that in my journal because it offends people.

Nevermind I've had to read about 6 different abortions this year, which was very offensive to me.

I'm tired of this.

It's your journal, not theirs. You have every right to put whatever you want in there. Just tell them that if they can't handle your opposing views respectfully, then they aren't any friend of yours.

Completely agree. I've always been a "I'm not going to let one little issue keep us from being friends" sort of person, but I guess as I get older I realize more and more that this isn't "one little issue," at least not to me. It's a very big deal and has a very marked impact on my ability to handle people. I can still deal with my friends who, say, have the view that abortion is morally unacceptable but they don't see making it illegal--I see the reasoning behind their point of view, even if I don't agree with it. It's the people who out and out think abortion is as much an acceptable option as keeping the baby or giving it up for adoption--and particularly the ones who, for some reason, find adoption more cruel--that I just don't think I can communicate with anymore.

I'm agree! That's kind of funny. If they can't deal with reading someone's own personal journal, then they don't have to read it. Nobody forced them to read her journal!

But oh, heaven forbid someone should read views that oppose their own!

I was so incredibly happy when I read this. As in, squealing, "OH MY GOSH YESSSSSSSS". Hahaha. This is SO great, though. Let's hope this nice little shift continues to grow. We've got to keep on fighting! Change is coming, and it's not Obama-style change. :DD
