Rockville! I wish I'd known! I totally would've brought you guys diesel. :-) I'm in Gaithersburg, which is, I think, the next city up 270. And yes, Rockville's a city now! It's only been a few years, and even then, Rockville Pike sucked, and I have yet to figure out how to get where I'm trying to go on the first try if the 270 spur's involved. But, having been stuck there so often wondering why they keep moving the freeway on-ramps, I've a pretty good idea which gas station(s) you ended up in, and I must say that I'm mightily impressed by Your Beloved's parking skills. :-) Suffice to say that when I needed a new car, I made an effort to get the shortest one possible.

I think I can count on the fingers of one hand the number of times I got the 270 split right when I lived here. I think it was one of the reasons I didn't venture much beyond the B-CC and Potomac areas.
Short car - HEE! Yeah, if I lived here, I'd really want one of those Smart Cars, or a Mini. Heck, I want a Mini anyway, just 'cause they're cuter than stink. But there isn't really much of a place for a Mini way out in the country where we live in Nashville. My Beloved says he'd be afraid a cow would eat it.
