your worst nightmare meme

You're asleep, dreaming. Wherever you are, whatever you've been doing- it's all a second thought, in another world. Something you'll come back to in the morning.

Right now? You dream, and that dream is none other than your worst nightmare. And anyone and everyone can see it and be a part of it.

WARNING - MAJOR SPOILERS FOR CHANGES. gumshoewizard February 15 2011, 22:29:03 UTC
It's a temple of some sort if the low-sitting altar splattered with blood and the ritual knife in his hand is any indication. The air howls with ribbons of sorcerous power - amethyst and emerald waves, scarlet lightning - and the sound of a scream of agony from a short, powerfully built man that thrashes and flails around. His eyes are ruined, both sockets charred as if someone had shoved flamethrowers into them and turned them on full blast. The sound is high, nearly subsonic, and very inhuman. The Red King's will thrashes through the temple, cutting through his own men, blowing car-sized holes through thousand-year-old stone ( ... )

[She remembered this feeling, this pitch-black darkness that seemed to stretch on forever. Her body stiffened, mouth dry, muscles stiff; as if she were in a long battle recently. Fire pumped through her veins, but she couldn't figure out why.

And she hated it.]

Fuck. I thought this was over.

"Since when is it ever over, dipshit?"

[The voice that sounded caused her to freeze, hand reaching to her hip instinctively to bring around her sword, breath hitching, heart pounding, but she only grabbed air. She couldn't actually see who was there, but she knew. There was no denying this, she had dealt with this before. The fire in her veins previously had chilled to ice, and an involuntary shudder crept its way up her spine.

'ch. Her eyes narrowed, sweeping the area to try and pinpoint that voice. Couldn't be too far.]

"What, you didn't miss me, partner? I'm hurt."

[The voice dripped sarcasm and a slightly insane edge to it, and before Lii could react, something reached out and enclosed a dark hand around her windpipe. She struggles, ( ... )

[There is food everywhere. Delicious, beautiful food, covering every available surface, just begging to be eaten. Yako is only too happy to get on that, but as soon as her fingers get within an inch of any foodstuff, it fades to black and slowly melts into thick puddles of red. Yako staggers back, absolutely horrified, but ends up tripping over something ( ... )

[He wasn't Masamune now, he was Bontenmaru.

The child's playing in a field, giggling happily until he finds some flowers. With a small smile, he picks a couple, dashing toward a familiar place to those of you that've seen it - the Date manor.]

I'm sure 'kaasan will like these, they're her favorite!

[He laughs a bit, moving through the mansion before stopping outside a set of shōji doors, catching his breath before opening them, a wide grin on his face. She was sure to like these, she had to.]

'kaasan, I picked these for you! [His grin is frozen as soon as he looks at his mother, blinking once before lowering his arm]

... 'kaasan?

[She's backed against a wall, a hand at her face as she looks like she's going to be sick]

Get away from me, you repulsive child! How dare you show your face in front of me!

B-but -

LEAVE ME ALONE! [She picks up a nearby vase and throws it at the boy's head, it misses, shattering against the wall, but he's still drenched from the water that was in it.] Just ... get out.

O-okay ... [That strange ( ... )

[It's not like her to be rendered speechless on actions by others. More or less usually she's the one that does the actions that cause it, not the other way around.

But the fact of the matter remains- the mother does not love her child. Fang can tell just by the look in her eyes. The boy had good intentions, and now, drenched in water and told to leave, was most likely hurting inside.

What she wouldn't give to walk straight up to that mother and punch her in the face, or even backtalk her. A good mother loved her child, regardless of what they had done or anything else wrong with them. A good mother would have tenderly and gently swept her child into her arms, played with him and made him laugh. A good mother would have told her child she loved him.

This woman? This vile filth of a wench? She was not a good mother. She was nowhere near what a mother was supposed to be ( ... )

[There's a small sniffle coming from Bontenmaru, but he wasn't crying, he won't cry -

And he looks up, single eye blinking in confusion while the other was covered by bandages. He hasn't asked Kōjūro to do the deed yet, so his bad eye is still there, just covered. He doesn't say anything for a while, simply opting to stare at the stranger in front of him.]

I know ... but - [Sniff. He tugs at the bandages a bit, but not enough that they fall off.] Just because I can't see outta one eye, she thinks I'm some sorta monster. But I'm not... right?
