[Instead of a reply, Kanda gets this brief stretch of expressive silence, prickling with all the crabby, just-woke-up-at-four irritation of oh, it's you. He sighs after a while.]

[Aguhnnghh why all the early-morning feeds lately? Lenalee curls tighter into the ball she's taken to sleeping in for a moment before fumbling blearily for her PDA (on the mattress, right by her head- what does that say?) and flicking it on. It's not a surprise to her that the broadcast came from Kanda, or even that it's at 4:30 in the morning. Nothing about this, really, is a surprise. Except for one thing.

Voice still heavy with sleep:] F-Flooding? The river's started flooding? [After the near-constant rainfall for the last- what was it? two months- she'd sort of expected it, but it's still not the sort of thing a person wants to wake up to.] Why're you at the river, Kanda?
