I would like to learn how to fight without hurting my opponent, in case something like this event happens again.

That is extremely difficult, particularly if your opponent is also wielding a weapon. Nonfatal injuries are simple enough, but that would still be harm.

I am wiling to cause temporary injuries, Ij ust do not want to kill or cripple someone for something that was not their fault.

Possibly. You're aware that dealing with an enemy non-lethally with a sword is much more difficult, correct?

Only with swords. I tried to fight without one while I had the ring, but I wa snot very good at it.
