Adam loved touring. He particularly loved touring around California and New York since he had roots and ties to both places. It was a way for he and the band to connect to those who kept their voices singing, their fingers strumming. Without their support, he knew that they'd be done for. He'd learned that lesson with Kara's Flowers the first time around.

But it was about this time that Adam really longed for home. Despite the fact that he'd been raised Jewish, his split family celebrated both Hanukkah and Christmas. But the slight confusion of whether it was eight days of presents or just one mattered little to him. In his eyes, the holidays were about spending time with his family. Why celebrate the holidays if they weren't with you?

But there was an obstacle standing in his way of returning home: the upcoming international tour. It was going to be brutal, and everyone in the band knew it.

As he sat at the kitchen table in the tour bus, staring at the blurring landscape passing by the window, a soft sigh escaped from between his lips. A worn and dog-earred notebook sat in front of him, the sound of his pen tapping on the blank page filling his mind.

"December 17, 2007 - Zurich, Switzerland." He scribbled it down on the page. It was the last date of their 2007 tour before they started up again in March of the next year. He counted down the days until that date. A piece of paper was hung by his bed on the tour bus, and each day, he crossed another number off in descending order, and each day, he got a little more anxious and a little more excited.

The bus stopped at the Wembley Arena to an entourage of screaming, adoring fans. Girls held up signs professing their undying love to Adam and his fellow bandmates. They flailed their arms and waved their hands and bodies in an attempt to get noticed. But they were just one, massive tidal wave of limbs and torsos. Eventually, Adam couldn't even decipher one from another.

Their hands banged on the window as the driver attempted to skillfully pull into the back entrance. From his seat, Adam gave a few small waves and smiles, the roar of the mass of humanity growing even louder. The other band members came out and did the same as they passed by the window. Jesse plopped down across from Adam, his eyes perusing the crowd.

"Those British girls, huh?" he half-mumbled as they finally broke away from the engulfing swarm. Adam looked to his friend, scoffing in agreement as he shut his notebook and dropped his pen on the table. Standing, he arched his back and gave his body a good, deep stretch. Glancing down at Jesse, Adam let a faint smile creep over his mouth.

"Fifteen more days," Adam stated before slipping on his aviators and exiting the bus.
