A/N: Set during the Valencia - Atlético Madrid match. This was started about five minutes after Sergio's injury and finished at final time. It is an accurate representation of my feelings at this moment.

Bojan watches the match. Of course, Bojan watches all of Sergio’s matches - at least those he can watch because they don’t overlap with his own or training or family meetings.

He stares at the screen, praying and begging and wishing that Valencia wins, that Sergio scores. Because, well, if he can’t win himself because he has no match to play, he cheers for Valencia, because they’re Sergio’s team and Bojan wants to see Sergio win, wants him to be happy.

During halftime he texts Sergio. You’re playing awesome, keep going! Hugs! He never writes Love or Kisses or things like that, because what if someone else read the text? They’ve always been careful, overly careful, to be honest. But no one can find out, so they are not allowed to leave any kind of trace.

The second half starts, Bojan is still tense. He’s always tense when Sergio plays, he is afraid that Sergio might get injured, again, after all, he has been out for over five months. He knows how desperate Sergio felt during those months. How he sometimes thought about just quitting, not being able to believe anymore that he could one day return to the pitch. Bojan also knows how it feels to be injured, but that long? It had to be horrible. Even a few weeks were awful, but months? Nearly half a year?

He knows it ten seconds before it happens and it scares him to death. He knows that Sergio will be hurt, he can feel it. Bojan prays. But it’s too late. He already sees the moment in slow motion, doesn’t need the repetitions to know that it hurts, that it’s bad.

Of course he doesn’t know anything official yet, there have been no tests yet, Sergio’s still lying on the pitch, holding his knee, a pained look on his face.  Bojan is petrified, he can’t breathe for a moment, just thinks no, not again, not my Sergio, no please don’t do that but he knows that he can’t do anything about it.

He wants to be with Sergio, but he can’t. After all is Bojan in Rome and Sergio in Valencia, probably on the way to the hospital. There would be no way. He can’t even call Sergio, and a text is too impersonal, Bojan thinks. He doesn’t really know what to do. He feels helpless.
