I've got a doctors' appointment scheduled for Wensday...I'll have to go after work. My mom told me on the phone after I asked her why she sounded so weird that she's afraid that I'm going to die. Just the thing I needed to hear. I know I'm not going to over diabetes, but just the fact that she said it at all makes me uneasy. Well, I'll get every ( Read more... )

theyll probably do a blood test, i dont remember what its called, but it gives them a general idea of what your blood sugar has been like over the last few months. as well as some other things..if you ARE diabetic, they will get you an eye appointment, theyll check your sense of touch, check your circulation and blood pressure, etc ( ... )

um.. i don't know you and though i'm all for being truthful and shit..
way to fucking SCARE her. she just got done telling us about how her mom is afraid she'll die and shit, i don't think nessa needs someone telling her SHE's going to die now. just because you had a bad experience, don't take that out on her, okay?

this is REALITY.

good, you can use the shift key. i'm happy for you. unfortunately it doesn't add any credibility.
and um... let me just say that i may be a "fucking idiot", but just because you're diabetic doesn't give you any right to say things like this about me, or things like this to nessa. this is a scary enough thing without someone telling her she's going to die.
it may be reality, yes - but the bigger reality is she needs support, not condemnation from someone who apparently KNOWS what it's like to go through it and/or to think you're going to "die".
"i'm diabetic/i know what it's like" is NOT a disclaimer to say whatever you want.

and just for the record--i was at high risk for juvenile diabetes years ago. i know what it's like as well.
it's sad you've had to suffer, but just because YOU are willing to use your disease as an excuse to act like a fucktard to the rest of the world, don't put us through your shit.
thank you.
