Getting back whats been unfairly charged! claimbankcharge April 27 2007, 21:02:21 UTC
I see it that you are getting back what was unfairly taken from you!

Personally, even though I run a site to help people get their bank charges back, in principle I agree with bank charges, but at a fair level. If the banks charged less, then I think that many people wouldn't bother claiming them back. The problem with the banks is that they have been too greedy, and flouted the law in the process!

Have a look at my site, which is free to use, and will help you with your claim. It has full step by step guides to each step of the claims process, the latest bank charges news, user forums for one to one advice and a full guide to submitting your claim in court online, which is unique to the site.

they're going to screw it all back out of us soon by charging yearly fees on accounts, by the looks of things.

It may not come to that, its what the banks want, but they may not be allowed to do it!

Even if they do, its still a fairer system! At the moment, in extreme terms, it's a case of the poor (who get all the charges) subsiding the rich (who don't pay charges). With a monthly charge to run an account, at least everyone pays the same.

It shouldn't come to it though, as the banks make enough in profit without the charges, its just a case of whether or not the OFT will stand up to the banks.

Sometimes hitting them in the balls means taking thier 'accounts' to the cleaners.

Don't let anyone make you think that what you are doing is anything but getting what you are owed:))))

My bank charged me £75 for getting overdrawn twice in a month 0_0 It's shocking! I'd do the same as you, but that's the first time they've ever changed me, which made it even more weird.
