Why, why WHY!?! *sob*
Why can't ANYONE leave me alone and let me think for myself??? Why do they always have to shove their religion and beliefs down mine and other people's throats?!?! Even Facebook is no escape. I really regret friending one of my sister's friends even if it WAS at my sister's request and only to help with a GAME or two!! Tonight I got banged on with the Bible with said person because they CHOSE to look at ALL my art on FB and told me some of it should be kept to myself and was gross. There was nothing saying they HAD to look at it!! My GOD!!
Here's how it went down for those interested - names removed of course for privacy sake. All comments followed by a - that are in black are my thoughts about her words and were not actually 'spoken', they are just my comments from the Peanut Gallery. Also one set of questions was way too personal and so I deleted that part, but the question asked was: What do you have against the church? This was removed due to my taking my reasons for my religious study and preferences to be a deeply personal choice though all affects about my writing and other religious or philosophical views are listed below but how I see my reasons for not attending a christian church even though I was raised in one are my own.

I don't claim to be anything. I've done my homework on a few religions and honestly, I see them all going the same direction. Greeks, Romans and Egyptians had multiple gods and goddesses because they couldn't comprehend one being being all powerful. Islam has Allah, Christians have the father, son and holy ghost, Native Americans have the great spirit... to me, it all seems the same.
Mostly, my husband and I don't go to church because neither of us feel like we 'belong' in any of the ones we've been to.
We are quite open minded about things like religion and politics and don't feel that people in the church would understand and accept us without trying to change us.

I do stand for something. Freedom of religion, freedom to choose. For example this whole Prolife anti abortion thing. I can understand having an abortion if its rape or incest and whether I include these in my stories or not, I don't condone them.
