My Fan Fiction Policy

I'd be thrilled to bits for any kind of fanwork of my fanworks.  I truly love the idea of a fanwork growing into something the community at large interacts with by expanding on it.  I give blanket permission for podfics, artwork, fanvids, mixes, sequels, remixes, ect... of my fanworks.  Also, I give permission for multiple people to podfic my works ( Read more... )

Hey, reading your post, especially the parts about possible dyslexia and needing help editing, I wonder if you've ever looked into using a screen reader? I've known other authors to use them to go through editing and there are some free ones online, like Thunder (although you generally have to pay to get the more human sounding voices).

That might help you get through your editing without having to wait for someone to volunteer to podfic your stories. :)

I know where you're coming from, and I have thought of it, even tried it. But it also opens up a can of worms at my house, LOL. My husband would do it for me, but he works 12hr shifts and when he's not working, he's either asleep or trying to get set up to go back to school. I have a mic and the recording software even, and we have a housemate, but she's got a voice like nails on a chalkboard. I have everything set up in the office, but she's always in there doing stuff. I am hoping that she will be out of here soon cause its my house and my office computer she's using all the time, and she's on thin ice with us right now. But to kind of keep the drama to a minimum, I use my laptop most of the time and I've tried those on here and the slow dow the system so much it crashes all the time. I'm really tempted to buy my friend overseas a mic for her computer cause she's said she'd help out with it if she had one. I've not tried Thunder though, so I'll look into it. Thanks!
