Actually, a few of the songs, like 4 of them, came from the original one, just reworked extensively ( ... )

Dude, do you know which songs came from before? Vampire Money sticks out like a sore thumb, and all the others are so congruent. It's fascinating to imagine them in another form ( ... )

Kids from Yesterday is probably my favorite, by far. :) Save Yourself is from an earlier incarnation, I think, and surprisingly, Vampire money isn't? I can't remember exactly which ones. I want to say Destroya is.

And on the EP they did with the box set, they have Black Dragon Fighting Society on there.

And yes, I read Mrs D later. And I remember trying to go back and find the line about it being her gift, this bringing people together in class during a discussion where everyone was like, "She's just a shallow, vapid woman" and I was looking at them like, "Are you crazy? Did we read the same book?"

This is a really interesting take on the tracks and now I want to listen to the MCR tracks next to the ones you mentioned.

when Gerard says "This ain't a room full of suicides / We're believers," I can't help but think he's speaking more literally. I would completely agree with you on this point especially given how hard MCR is pushing the idea that their fans are the strong ones and that MCR gets too much credit for saving people who saved themselves. Also, I would swear that Gerard gave an interview (possibly one of the solo ones? I'm having trouble keeping track of them at the moment) where he said something about that lyrics being something fans could sing back when they got asked about the MCR is an emo death cult issue ( ... )

Aw, thanks, I'm glad you find it interesting. I hear you about reading and listening side-by-side; I'm off to do the same thing (or, you know reading and watching) with your post about the video for Sing ( ... )
