poor sam. my mom sounds like your dad. she doesn't seem to trust me when i tell her things and takes pleasure in making my life a living hell. i think adults don't like apologizing to kids because that would be admiting that they were wrong to someone who they probably believe is "below them." hope things get better for you.

Hey Samantha, I barely know you at all, so I feel like such an asshole for preaching to you.

Your father is just being over-protective of you, sure he's doing it in a manner which would promote rage, hell I was outraged just reading that, but he's your father and he loves you and he doesn't want his daughter to turn out bad, so he's desperately trying to prevent you from getting involved in such things, you may not have drank, smoked, or done any other drug in your life but he may see you as a stereotypical teenager and is just trying to make sure he's raised you properly. I agree he should have a little more faith in you, but don't let it get to you so much, huh?
