Yeah, I was confused about the Iris/Sofie scene as well. I mean, we've often thought of Justin as being the raper and all, but, that was a bit out of the ordinary, and OMG Iris has powers too! I'm thinking that BJ don't know about them powers, though, but, that is my rough estimation of it all, you would think she would have scrambled to get something better than a spoon, butter knife, and a crip to help her thwart BJ.

I think Iris' whole thing goes back to that dream in the tailor shop with the mask and the 'boon' knife. The mask is, obviously, still in tact, and we know that Ben and Jones are in the camp, so, an inside alliance to the 'big house'...something a COL might just need in an episode or two.

I think that its Sofie who is generating the vision, but Iris is seeing it. That's what happened with Ben, too. Sofie read the cards, but Ben saw the visions.

This time I heard the rapist say "Iris" while he was raping Sofie's mother. And though it seems as though they got a younger actor to play him, I think it is supposed to be Brother Justin. It sounded like BJ did the voice work. Also, Iris makes a point to mention that they'd lived in St Paul at some point. So, I now think that Justin is Sofie's father. And if we are to follow that Management good/Justin bad and Scudder bad/Ben good, then it must be Justin bad/Sofie good. So maybe that's why she and Ben should be together. Together they can put an end to all of it. Which is why she is the Omega. Their union would end things. Double-up against the Big Bad together.

Man the writers seem to like their incest, don't they?

The rest of the Carnivale community seems to know 100% without a doubt that it was Justin they saw in the Appolonia rape scene. I'm not buying it all yet. Although we didn't see the rapist clearly, it didn't look like Justin at all in my opinion. I'll rewatch it, but for now I'm sticking with it not being Justin. I think Iris reacted so harshly simply due to an empathic link. She not only saw the rape, but somehow felt it and it caused her to become upset ( ... )

I don't think that Iris was having a vision. She was remembering her brother raping Appolonia. He looks up and says her name... it only makes sense that she was there.
