Welcome on the Good Ship?

Some of you may have seen a comment on the latest Hermione/Ron thread over at SCUSA:

"I can't abandon my other OTP in the face of pirates...especially those who are here for nefarious purposes, not like Jack Sparrow pirates who are just here for the fun of it all..."

Well, it's a little weirdly written, but I get that 'not so welcome' feeling off

Well, it's certainly nothing new. It's annoying, but I don't let it bother me. I mean, if someone's going to say that I'm not a true Ron/Hermione shipper because I don't ship H/G (or what have you), then just....lol.

Well, my nefarious plans involve merging the Good Ship, Loonies and Lions and Flaming Toad together...I guess that *is* an evil plan! Mwha ha ha.

If anyone are pirates on the Good Ship, it's the OBHWF bigots (not to be confused with plain old OBHWF shippers), not people like us. They are the ones who have made it their life's work to permanently attach Harry/Ginny to Ron/Hermione and they are the ones who refuse to accept anything else, not even Harry/Nobody. They need to grow up and understand that there are Ron/Hermione shippers who don't ship Harry/Ginny and if they can't accept that, they can take their canon razor blades and slit their canon wrists.

What I really want to know is why don't they just make a special thread that allows them to ship both? I'm pretty sure it's possible. That way, they can still enjoy RHr on the Good Ship Thread but have an OBHWF thread so RHr can also mix with HG.

I want the right to enjoy my orangeless trees!
