Occupé

My apologies for not updating this journal more frequently, but two events have occupied the most of my time for the past few weeks. Firstly, I've been involved with a series of meetings across town-the department is steamrolling some administrative changes, some of which affect the Prosecutor's Office. They aren't anything catastrophic for once; ( Read more... )

I wouldn't consider it "escaping," really. I've been wanting to visit Europe for some time now.

...But I am not opposed to cake. Especially chocolate.

Chocolate, hmm? Very well. We'll be dropping by at your office next Monday then, Miles.

Theme parks, huh?

Let's see....there's a Six Flags just south of LA, they have this awesome new coaster they've just finished. It's super fast and big, I bet you and Ema would love it!

If you wanted something a little cooler, there's a giant waterpark called Hurricane Harbor. It's been pretty hot lately, and what better way to cool off than a super-tall waterslide or a wavepool?

Thank you for your suggestions, Mr. Butz.

This talk of waterparks and keeping cool reminds me about the beach proposition you made a few weeks ago. It seems that planning for a group of friends is more difficult than organizing a trip for two, however... I hope for the best with your plans as well.

An amusement park, huh? Sounds good! I'd love to go, Lana! (I'm sure it would be a nice change from shopping, right?)

Well, I looked around quick and Knott's Berry Farm looks good! There's one called the Silver Bullet that doesn't have a cart like a usual roller coaster, and you're sitting in it with your feet dangling. It looks pretty fun!

'America's First Theme Park'? That sounds interesting, Ema. There seems to be attractions other than the rides there as well. Good work on the research.

The Silver Bullet looks rather ...overwhelming...! Are you sure you're up for it?

Thanks, Lana!

You never know for sure until you try, right? Although I think it would be a good idea to observe the ride in person first...
