I don't know that there's a better or a worse where communism and capitalism are concerned; both systems have inherent flaws. However, when you read this you have to remember that Marx was so much a product of his time. While much of what he says can be applied to today, a lot of the organized labor ranting was pure 19th-century factory stuff. It isn't quite like that anymore; I believe it's true that capitalism is a self-perpetuating, entrapping system the way he says, but the business about machinery/wages is mostly obsolete. WWII and the resulting technological revolutions changed most of that.

I did already turn it in. I'm just obsessing over it now. And there's a 67% chance that we'll get to re-write it, so I'm going to continue to obsess until the end of the quarter.

That's quite good, considering (a) this is the University of Chicago, after all, and (b) this is the dreaded RAA.
