Warm Bodies

It's been a while since this community was really active, but just wondered if anyone had seen the trailer for Warm Bodies and what you thought of it. The film version comes out, at least in the US, on February 1st. Anyone planning on seeing it when it comes out on the big screen?

The Windsor-based Prose Over Broes club is going to see it in February.

I think the movie will be better than the book. It's giving me "Shaun of the Dead" vibes and I hope that's the sort of path they've taken it down.

Despite my love for Nicholas Hoult, I didn't really like the book and I won't see the movie.

I thought the book was ok, but either the film is taking some big liberties with the source (or I'm misremembering it) and I'm thinking this is more of a movie I may see on DVD rather than in the theaters.

I'd ask ink_smear. I liked the idea of the online book community.

Anyone still doing this?

PS - whoever does see the movie should come back here with a full report. This is one of the few instances in which I think the movie could do a better job than the book.

Apparently the physical bookclub is still going, but this one had lost steam online. :(

I saw the trailer and am very much looking forward to seeing it cause well I love zombies. Some of the computer effects look a little bad and some of the casting choices don't quite fit my mental image from when I read the book but hopefully it will be good!
