Heh-- I just finished The City and the City tonight. I am extremely impressed by Mr. Mieville so far. The man is clearly insanely intelligent and thoughtful, and very very good at his job. And of course I'm a sucker for big words and extremely detailed weird medical shit. Not that this really has much to do with your entry, but I agree that is anyone should be fangirled at, it's probably him.
