Dear Yuletide Author,
I just want to start out with saying thank you for offering one of these fandoms :)
I'm okay with fem/slash and het and any permutation of relationships you can think of, but I would prefer no PWPs (I will skim over explicit sex). Crossovers are fantastic! I love AUs and what-ifs and character studies and crazy fun and angst and drama. I would prefer no super-explicit violence or dub/non-con.
Onto the fandoms!
The Cluefinders (Video Games) - Leslie Clark, Joni Savage, Owen Lam, Santiago Rivera
Anything with these four. How did they meet up? What do they get up to in the future?
I have to say I have a soft spot for these games. My favorite was 4th Grade Adventures, mostly for the incredibly cracky mythology, but 5th Grade Adventures hit a lovely balance of funny and genuinely creepy. I would love any fic of them hanging out or solving weird mysteries (more aliens? zombie apocalypse? crossover with The Magic School Bus?) with random sarcastic statues or animals or plants that keep giving them puzzles over and over and over. I'd love to see them in high school or meeting up again in college. How did they meet as children? What do they do on their days off, or what do their classmates think of them? How do they deal with going back to home and school after a particularly strange or disturbing mystery (6th grade adventures, I'm looking at you)? If they're aged up, feel free to ship them in whatever permutations you like (though an OT4 would be quite something). Also, feel free to include Socrates and Laptrap! Are they still hanging around the Cluefinders years later?
Emelan - Tamora Pierce - Briar Moss, Daja Kisubo, Sandrilene fa Toren, Trisana Chandler
I love these four - their friendship, the way they band together under crisis so well, and I would love anything with them being awesome friends or hanging out together.
Um, yes, I ship the OT4, but feel free to give me any sort of permutations you like (or none at all) - I also love the Daja/girls threesome and Briar being a rake :P I would love to see fic of them being awesome and taking down enemies of whatever calibre - my favourite parts in the books had to be the conflicts (pirates, Sandry's absolutely epic takedown of all the people ever, etc.). I also love how none of these things come easy to them; how they struggle so much internally with the consequences; h/c after one of their student's arc events would be lovely. I would also love to just see them relaxing and having fun, or a scene in the buildup of their friendship to the amazing thing that it is. Or, maybe an outside-looking-in POV to their relationship by one of their students! Seriously, do anything you like.
Final Fantasy XIII-2 - Serah Farron, Noel Kreiss
Serah and Noel have such a great friends-vibe in this game, and I'd love to see more of it! Maybe expand on some of the paradox endings or them just hanging about and taking a break for once.
I'd prefer no romance between the two (I ship Serah/Snow and Noel/Yeul/Caius) but I would love them hanging out and having awesome time-travel mishaps or adventures. I'd love expansion of paradox endings! I particularly liked the Atlas ending, which was very Serah-and-Noel vs the world. I'd love them finding all new things that 'might have happened', or going back home to visit Lightning or Yeul/Caius in one of those dream-like alternate times. What does Noel think about Serah helping out every random person who wants something that doesn't exist? Go anywhere with this that you want.
Thursday Next - Jasper Fforde - Thursday Next
Thursday is an absolute favourite character of mine - I love how competent she is, and how she's grown over the series to take things (mostly) in stride. I would love Thursday literary adventures (visiting Uncle Mycroft in ACD or eradicating grammasites or vyruses in whatever book you like!) or more of her and her family and all the associated weirdness that comes with that.
I love Thursday and would love to read her in any book you like (I've read most of the classics, and if I'm unfamiliar I'll be sure to pick it up afterward; popular fiction is also A-OK). I also absolutely adore her relationship with her family - her and Anton and Joffy growing up, her and Anton and Landen having a break in the Crimea, her and her dad going back through history, her and her mum just having a day off (with whoever happens to be visiting at the time). Honestly, just give me Thursday and I'll love it. Feel free to add time-travelling Friday into the mix as well!
My AO3.
