Divine intervention has occurred. (maybe,"hath?")

I suddenly realized this afternoon that my right shin area was no longer feeling like something had strained (as in 'almost-sprained') in last Friday's long run. This is incredibly strange to me since the discomfort--and subsequent internal questioning (am I injured? did I push it too far? you knew better, why did you do that? is this what shin ( Read more... )

I hear that wine is good for strains/almost-sprains that disappear. It helps them to not reappear.

My run today: I did about 2 miles, I think. But I did run for 10 minutes, walked for 3, and ran for 10 again. I sort of kept track of how many times I ran around the track, but I lost count. It was nice to bliss out while running again.

I won't say anything about it being too cold - at 30 degrees - to wait for the bus. Nope, nothing at all.

I am curious about what the taxi place has to say. Fight the power, dude!

hell YES! The two miler was the bane of my existence in my Army days. That seems like it would be an almost perfect distance to work out at for a 5K until like the last 30 days before the race. All hail the Anterastilis!

30 degrees is cold! You're so lucky you live in Minnesota where it doesn't really get all that cold!

I was surprised that I was able to get back into it. I've felt like such a slug lately. But I've still got it. *does fistbump with the dog* Now, to find a 5k to train for.

And don't worry about me: don't forget, I live in the Tropical Part of Minnesota.

slugs would never be able to accomplish that distance in the time you mentioned. Trust me. I have VERY recent observational evidence.
