i fell asleep at 1:00,
and yet i didnt feel a thing.
slept right through it.

i was awake, but in bed. the bed started shaking, and i didn't know what was going on. the word earthquake flashed in my mind, but i dismissed it. this isn't california! it shook for a minute or two then stopped. it was so soft that i thought perhaps i was imagining it, but it was firm enough that i though the house might be collasping or something.

I have lived through a couple but the one that struck me most vividly was at barnes and noble. It was the big one that was in the news a couple years back. I seriously thought the roof might collapse. Books were flying off the shelf although not in any dangerous capacity. But the B&N prevailed over mother nature and her fierce ways. Books 1, mother nature 0. Now is not your faith in the written word fortified?
