Holy shit - Tad Williams just twittered linking to my artwork!?
Is this real life?
I've read that guy's books since I was like seven years old - I had no idea he was an actual living person with a twitter.
I live right in the middle of Surreal-town, USA.
I've been oil painting. (Well, a reproduction, to learn how to use oils. I'm still working on it (the face is actually just pencil with very thin layers of paint on it). I should start a new one.)
Oil painting is hard. Let nobody say that this shit is easy! It takes so much time to mix the colors, let alone apply them. But, on the other hand, it's that much more satisfying to have something tangible after you've put effort into something. You can actually give it to someone and have them put it up in their house. Drawing on the computer is so nice and yet it leaves a lot to be desired.
In other news - I swear, One Piece. I'm getting a cigar fetish because of you. I don't know who drew these, but they communicate my distress:
Two cigars at once should not be attractive, Smoker, it should be repulsive! And/or ridiculous!
