Meme c/o sometimesamuse  and hamiltonia

Handwriting meme!

1) Write your lj username
2) Write your two favorite bands/artists at the moment
3) Draw a heart
4) Write the name of your favorite person of all time.
5) Write down your recently favored person.
6) Tag 5 people to do this meme.

I wrote with a pencil on printer paper... and my handwriting still doesn't match up to sometimesamuse's. :'(

I started doodling as I thought about the questions and whether they were trick ones or not - this is pretty much what all my notes in school looked like (two lines of notes and the rest of the page filled with doodles).

I hope Snape writes it out with a quill pen and everything, marking failing grades as he goes.

On a n unrelated note, I learned something interesting today - the Famicom (the Japanese version of the Nintendo Entertainment System) had better sound than its Western export. From wikipedia:

The Famicom had two cartridge pins that allowed cartridges to provide external sound enhancements. They were originally intended to facilitate the Famicom Disk System’s external sound chip. These pins were removed from the cartridge port of the NES and relocated to the bottom expansion port. As a result, individual cartridges could not make use of this functionality and many NES localizations suffered from technologically inferior sound compared to their equivalent Famicom versions. Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse is a notable example of this problem.
Holy crap, is it ever. Just listen to the first few seconds of this. This is the NES version of Aquarius:

Absolutely crazy. This explains why so many Japanese kids grew up to be Youtube Concert Pianists -

- if I'd have grown up killing Dracula to this music, I would have been a Youtube Concert Pianist, too. I swear that this is the classical music of my generation.
