Here and
here.
Personality: Takeru is no longer the bright-eyed, hopeful, little child. He hides his true self behind a false smile and a fisherman's hat. He is now wise enough to understand what is going on around him. Takeru also habors emotional scars from watching Patamon die at the hands of Devimon. So when the
Kaiser tries to manipulate the forces of evil, Takeru snaps and physically attacks him. Takeru also shows his hatred of darkness during the Black WarGreymon story arc. This side of Takeru is almost never shown and this violent form even scares Iori, who is almost always calm and fearless.
His
parents' divorce has also now visually taken an effect on him. While not as serious as it did
Yamato, the damage was still done. As Belial Vamdemon /Malomyotismon showed, one of Takeru's greatest desires is that his mother and father remarry. He feels like they aren't a family, like Hiroaki Ishida isn't really his father, like Yamato isn't his brother. However, Takeru was lucky, feelings like this are the least of what most children of divorced parents feel. Suicide is the other extreme; Yamato's condition was a mid-level effect.
Takeru always keeps his promises, even ones that were made years ago. During the fight with Piedmon, Sora made Takeru promise to protect Hikari. 3 years later, this promise is still the driving force of Takeru's life. When Hikari is taken by Dagomon, Takeru goes nuts and desperately searches for her. Later, after he rescues her, Hikari, Miyako, and Ken are pulled into the World of Darkness. Once again, Takeru loses his mind over the his failure to protect Hikari. However, it's not only because of his promise, he also harbors a feeling for her. This is one of Takeru's most painful dilemmas. Should he confess to her? Hikari's friendship means a lot to him, however,
he loves her more than a friend. That is his hardest choice, it's a very risky gamble.
Alas, aside of Hikari and his brother, Takeru holds his bonds with all of the chosen-children as well, especially the newer generation: Daisuke, who usually amuse Takeru by his antics and whom Takeru generally accepted as the new leader; Iori, his digivolution partner, who's usually worried about Takeru whenever his darker-side starting to get in; Ken, who starts in a rocky relationship with him due to Takeru's hatred to darkness. Takeru is still, however, forgiving, and he is the first one after Daisuke to accept Ken into the group.
Strengths/Weaknesses: Well, the Takaishi dude here is an energetic young man, a
star basketball player in his school club, so a faster running speed and a higher jumping ability than an average person at his age is anonymous (Though this will be reduced around this game). Not forgetting to add the 'hopeful', 'optimistic', and 'free smile' somewhere inside his plus point. Takeru is exceptionally good at cracking joke and giving a positive remarks, making him one of the most friendliest person you'll ever met, though keep in mind that if he's furious,
he could even beat Ken, who's a master at Judo at that point. Also, if Daisuke would do thing courageously (if not outrageously), Takeru would definitely go cautiously.
Negative side? 'Darkness'. Takeru hates darkness with all his passion, his guilt of losing his partner against it made him so. Yes, all those hatreds are but to cover his fear against it; he is afraid to be alone, left alone, that's why he would always smile, no matter how hurt it is inside him. Oh, should i mention that he's still 11 in the end? You know what's a kid of that age are capable of. Another fact that he would go to any length to protect his friends, until it reaches the level of rashness (Let's say again, Hikari made the perfect example; Takeru even rushed to go to the Dark Ocean by himself) should count into this.

Samples
First Person Sample: [After a series of random button mashing, the device clicked on.] --is this thing on? Ah... seems so. Ah-- Ahem, good morning, everyone. My name is Takeru, Takeru Takaishi. [A pregnant silent as Takeru scratches his golden hair in confused manner.]
E-erm... Could anyone fill me on where am i right now? And... [He turned his head to his legs, where a purple porcupine-like creature, very much unfamiliar to him, was glomping the said body part.] ...what in Digiworld is this creature? A new type of digimon?
[He tried to shove the Nidoran away politely, but sadly, no avail. Takeru let out a sigh afterward.] Get off me for a while, would you-! A-Anyway, anyone?
[There would be a small click as Takeru dropped the PokéGear and start to pat up his new partner-gonna-be reluctantly. Obviously trying to bond up with it.]
What should i call you then? 'Little bud' would be a bad name. [Takeru smiled in satisfactory, his hand keeps trailing by its' hard skin.]
Third Person Sample: There are two things one does not expect, after done wiping an enemy sorry ass. The first is waking up in the middle of a room that definitely isn't familiar. The second is having a weird-shaped creature on top of your tummy, sleeping peacefully.
"What the..." What had just happened!? Quickly, he began to sit and stared at the pokémon on his tummy. "WHA-" As he did so, the Nidoran couldn't help but falling off him, waking up.
"What in the world--" Takeru's eyes widened as wide as it could, leering straight at the groggy pokémon in front of him. Surely he was used to seeing that kind of monsters, but got captured off-guard by it was a different case altogether. "Patamon-"
The boy looked around for a sign of hope, his hope, which apparently goes with the figure of an orange batpig, and ended up failing. 'Oh dammit!'. However, as Takeru struggled randomly on his bed for any kind of salvation, his slender finger pushed the PokéGear button accidentally, turning it on, leading him to another surprise as a 'click' was on the air.
"Whoa-" Takeru turned his blue eyes at the direction of the small tools, grabbing it after he did so.
"What is this now?" He eyed the PokéGear observantly, unaware of the little Nidoran leaning closer to him. The blond Digidestined gives a mass tapping at the available buttons desperately, in attempt to find out. "Oh geez, if only i had the brain of Koushirou-san's..."
Takeru was never one to get easily surprised, but hey... What could you do? That's when he feels something snuck into his side, the horned creature from before. "G-Gwaah-! Don't approach me, you-"
De facto, Takeru didn't feel himself could stand with his own attitude; being not-so-nice to anyone-- anything in this case, but considering he didn't know whether this Nidoran is a threat or not, he have no other choices. He was about to let his mouth continue the curse words, yet he stopped due to some incident; the little beast's facade turned sad... Let's say, teary puppy eyes. Could resist? No. And Takeru, being a Takeru, couldn't help but feel sorry and guilt for this.
"...Sorry." He huffed in defeated, offering a hand at the Pokémon. "Here?" He made it as polite as he could, he certainly don't want to torture this little guy anymore. Fortunately, his wish was granted, the thing let out a sound that resembles a chirp and scooted closer to the bearer of hope, until it reached his arms.
"Say, little bud, forgive me, kay?" Takeru said as he gives a pat at the male Nidoran, which the creature gracefully accepted. Now that's one down. Next would be...
"Now what do i do with this thing?" He stated as he stared helplessly at the Poké device beside him. Ho boy, this is so not his day.
