[Haku mumbles quietly to himself as he walks through the village, heading towards one of the shops. He's looking for food to purchase, but what he's found so far isn't to his liking, which might explain the vaguely annoyed mutterings.]

If this is what people consider food, I might be better off searching through the forest.

[River, for reasons unknown, has seemed to hone in on Haku's whereabouts and is walking by him rather nonchalantly.

As she comes parallel with Haku, she stops, reaches into her pocket, and pulls out a neatly wrapped, and flawlessly made, Mochi. She then proceeds to stare at him pointedly]

[He wonders how she knew that mochi was one of the few things he actually likes.]
