the cloverleaf mall carnival out of nowhere!

I have a new I-Mockery piece up this week, about the mysterious carnival that showed up in the Cloverleaf Mall parking lot last week. There are lots of goofy pictures, so if you enjoy those "photo adventure" pieces, this is definitely something you would enjoy. The piece was Farked yesterday, but traffic should be back to a point now where it will ( Read more... )

I am just amazed you didn't waste a *single* word about the .99c (as in $0.0099) per play special... That must have been dirt cheap entertainment for the entire stay!

I'm not quite sure exactly what you're referring to?

I'm so glad someone liked Grindhouse. The one person I know who has seen it said that it made her vomit. I'm going to see it regardless of the first review tonight.

Reeeaaally? Made someone vomit, huh? Wow. It did have some pretty gross stuff in it (particularly in Planet Terror) but I'm surprised someone actually got sick from seeing it.

I hope you like it though...if you know what to expect from Rodriguez and Tarantino, I don't think you'll be disappointed!

I agree with you on how awesome Grindhouse was, but man 300 disappointed the crap out of me. While the action was great, the other content I felt was pretty mediocre. Then again I didn't feel like the comic was that well written either. As for Grindhouse my best surprise was how great Death Proof was, it was certainly my favorite of the two movies.

Well, 300 isn't exactly a deep film or anything, but oh my god was it entertaining to watch those fight scenes. My main expectation was that the fight scenes would be beautiful to watch, and the movie delivered on that and then some!

And I've heard that a lot of people are slamming Death Proof, which is annoying, because I thought it was fantastic. Honestly I have a hard time deciding which of the two films I liked better...they were both great for entirely different reasons. But I think people are harsh on Death Proof because it's the second half of a three hour movie so the audience is naturally fading a bit by that point. But people who thought it was "boring" or had "too much dialogue"? Have those assholes ever even SEEN a Tarantino movie before? He stayed 100% true to form, and I enjoy watching his characters just sit around and talk.

I saw that before I saw tis entry, and while reading it, I couldn't help but think of that Scooby Doo episode where the gang is hunting down that robotin the abandoned amusement park.

Heh. At first I read this as they were hunting down a "robotin" and then I became fascinated with trying to decide just what exactly a "robotin" should be. Because that's an awesome typo-word that obviously deserves a definition.

You can thank my "Hey-I'm-a-bastard-and-I-randomly-decided-to-stop-working-while-you-were-doing-your-final-paper" spacebar for that.

There is nothing better than tall, physically fit, handsome, sweaty, dirty warriors kicking ass.

Nothing!

...

I wouldn't have sex with Rose McGowan with a machine gun leg.

However, there are about 5 of those 300 Spartans that I would ravage.

They would easily be mowed down by the machine gun leg.
