So, some of our Polish relatives have sent me a whole load of Biblical texts which 'apparently' prove that we will be struck by a comet on Dec 21st 2012. Now Mayan Calendar bits aside* no such things have been observed in even the remotely right area to try and anticipate this ( Read more... )

Nostrodamus is sufficiently obscure as to be able to predict virtually anything you wish and I think it comes in Latin. Just stamp (the) papal bull on the cover sheet...

It's a possibility certainly. I do have to admit to having been traumatised by his 'Centuries' when I got hold of a copy when aged six.

Ooh!- Throw in the Gospel of Thomas! And bonus points if you can somehow tie the prohibitions against shellfish in Leviticus to the Cthullu Mythos.
(Actually, I think there was something in Genesis that has been interpreted as being about Cthullu... I might have to check into that).

There are whole bits of the the O.T. that can be tied into that one. I think there are several references to 'Dagon' for a start. The Leviticus bit should be easy. I have to admit that I do want to as it were, kick Al Quoran whilst it's down as well.
