Songs More Important Than a Human Life?lorac1061October 22 2005, 20:20:17 UTC
"Oh well, now they'll just make more Captn Jack songs in honor of his death."
Wow. I didn't realize that "Oh well" was an appropriate response to the death of a human being. I mean, if I spill some tea outside in the yard, it makes sense to just say, "Oh well, I can always go get some more tea." You can't just go get some more unique human being who can never be replaced whose life impacted hundreds, perhaps thousands of people. Human life has a value, and it seems, to me, to be more than just a few songs.
Sorry to preach, but that just really struck me as an incredibly calloused thing to say.
