Hmmm... they still don't look so good, but at least they fly, and that's the important thing.

RIGHT!! Students, I will see you on the Quidditch pitch tomorrow before breakfast for your FIRST FLYING LESSON!!! Wear your gloves, for the dew will still be on the grass when you take your first soaring, death-defying flight into the skies!

Of course you have to! Flying is one of wizardry's most essential skills! How else are you going to get around before you learn how to Apparate?

..You could, but if you wanted to get from here to London, flying is a much faster way to go. Farther, faster, and higher -- that's the experience of true flight!!

Katara did very well. And Rikku was a little clumsy at first- joking around a bit- but did fine once she put her mind to it.

Whereupon Gai taught Katara some fancy flying tricks! And he and Rikku had fun being 8D at everyone else so early in the morning. ^___^

Although inwardly very awkward and outwardly distrustful of the broom provided actually flying, one up in the air Amu did very well and actually looked like she was having fun!! :O

Gai JUST KNEW she'd have fun when she got the hang of it, was robustly cheerful the whole time, and applauded her successful efforts!

Gai is used to that sort of thing, and it won't stop him from giving the little lad the fair and EXUBERANT treatment he deserves!

Sakura's first time on a broom, but I'd say she did pretty well since she canonly flies on a magic staff with no problems from the get go XD Was ultra-enthusiastic the whole way through.

Gai was amazed by little Sakura's progress, and awarded her six points for catching on so quickly, already thinking she's going to be one of his favorite students!
