Belated happy birthday to your mum, I hope she had a good day. Glad to read that you are reconnecting with them, too. I love mulberry trees :)
I know what you mean about not relating all that has passed since last posting. I sometimes think about updating my journal but then wonder about what I should say - do my LJ friends want to hear the truth or would they rather just get the fluff? It's a dilemma for those of who like to write!
My big problem is loosing easy web access a good while back. Before 2013 my neighbor let me piggy-back his signal. Then somehow I lost it (I suspect I needed for some stupid reason to disable my wireless card), and he lost his password!
These days I'm on public access; the library, the diner, the synagogue...
I don't post when the mood/topic strikes, so I just don't. But skimming back through this thing for some poetry to send a friend who thinks he is a poet, I was surprised that I had actually been treating it like a proper journal for a while there in N Philly. And considering that I often tell people I wish I did journal, so that I could sell the rights to my many adventures, I do figure I should devote a bit more energy here. But not tonight. ;)
thanks for thinking of my 'rents; she did enjoy the time together. And I visited on the sly for Father's Day, dad so did not expect the visit, he almost did a movie-style double-take when I walked in the room. And mom told me he was especially happy for that visit. I precipitated the latest falling out on my birthday visit last year. And in Feb? he discovered he had diverticulitis; he's been in and out of hospital all year since. But he has a great, positive attitude and really good doctors, nurses, and medical staff. So as of two weeks back, he's done with the knives and drugs and started physical therapy.
