S and I spent a wonderful day off on Monday (records day--a day that I didn't have to go in for because I finished my grades early! :) He had a half day at work, so I spent the morning sleeping in (a rareity) and reading a good book. It's final exam week, and I am seiously overwhelmed! Between grading tests and essays (never-ending essays), updating the gradebooks, entering grades into the system, trying to get syllabi etc. prepared for new classes starting new week, running on million copies, holding after school study session, preparing for my principal observation next week ( Read more... )

I am often resistant to share my resolutions because I fear looking like a quitter if I don't accomplish them. This is not to imply that I would think that of anyone else, but we are always our harshest critics, aren't we?

Break was amazing--lots of family time and boyfriend time.

Going back to work was a struggle, but totally fine at the same time. I love the kiddos and was excited to see them again.  The 100 essays I'm trying to grade isn't so exciting, but I am so satisfied with everything that I can't complain.

I don't really have anything to say. I'm happy. :)

I am copying you, Kathryn... :) My year in review:

January: I, terrified, began student teaching this month.  I can't even begin to explain how nervous I was on that first day... well and pretty much for the first month.  It was eye-opening and wonderful, and I still miss my original students like crazy.
