1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open the book to page 123.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the sentence in your journal along with these instructions.
5. Don’t search around and look for the coolest book you can find. Do what’s actually next to you.

Oh jeez... I'm such a sucker...

Mine's not very interesting, at least to an English major like me:

"Theorem 6.4 can also be quite useful in conjunction with upper bounds on the binomial distribution, such as Lemma 6.1."

from Introduction to Algorithms by Thomas H Cormen, Charles E Leiserson, and Ronald L Rivest.

This is close by because Kyle keeps his reference books by the computer.

i think that if you combine the two you can result in a more interesting passage...

lesse

"Wear and tear on virgins can also be quite useful in conjunction with upper bounds on the binomial distribution, such as Lemma 6.1." nodded a small fat hunter.

There, much better. Now lets develop a novel around it and publish. Perhaps we can split the movie rights?

No, I'm sorry, no amount of Pratchett can save Msrs. Cormen, Leiserson, and Rivest. :P

I think you need to write an open letter to Msrs. Cormen, Leiserson, and Rivest encouraging them to accept Pratchett into their fold.

And in the meantime you need to insert said amendments into the passage with a soft tipped lead pencil for Kyle to discover and wonder at in awe.
