F'ing credit card companies keep sending me junk mail. Yesterday I received, 4 "you are pre-approved letters." Today 6! This is not to count the 1-2 that my SO receives each day. This is why I keep a trash can next to my mail box. hehehe

It's my coming home ritual.. get the mail, stand there, read them, and drop them one by one into the trash.

I don't do the credit card hoping thing. I actually have an excellent credit card where it gives me 3 months intrest free on every single item I buy for the life of the account. I've had it for 5 years, and I've never paid more than $5 a month on interest.

I'm with Kat, I throw them away as soon as I see them.

And don't feel too bad, you're not the only one with a messy house. Mine's been caused by gremlins who sneak in while I'm working and leave laundry and legos all over the floor.

No matter if I'm credit card hoping or not, I'm simply too paranoid to just toss them. I must shred them first. I shred everything. Of course, I've known far too many people that have been the victims of fraud.
