not to point fingers but a big part of alot people doing drugs is the separating in who people hang out with. If you hang out with Cote amd Hondro and all them theres no preasure to do drugs and you can have a good time. But I can't remember the last time any of them and I acually hung out...I hang out with Biron and Laprade and anyone associated with them. I'm not afaird to admit that I am influenced by what Biron and Laprade do but i feel like a fucking loser whenever I'm in this situation. "So were gonna go get drunk and high Mruk you wanna come" "nah I think I'll just go home" and then I sit at home all night and I don't get to participate in alot of stuff that people do because I don't do the things they do. Maybe a good girl would help you, but I think you just need to really think about why you're doing it in the first place, I think it makes you feel more like you fit in, and it kinda makes you feel like a bad ass for doing something that a bunch of people think is sketchy, the opposite is the reason i don't do it, I like the fact that I can be like "Ya, I do stupid shit sometimes, but I don't do any drugs or shit like that" Anyway man, I think you need to find you're reason not too, or maybe you just don't really want to. ya so you can look at it as sheltered as you want, but the truth of the matter is that Belchertown was NEVER a really straight-edged place, always had serious alcohol problems, and within the past year it has become a hub for serious drug dealing. What you're seeing of course is people getting older. And that is my 2 cents.

Anyway, what do you mean getting older? are you saying that smoking is a natural part of growing up? I don't think so man, I think people can be against something without ever having to do it. You don't have to get bit by a dog to know that it's going to hurt. What's weird is the fact that so many people used to openly speak out against it, and now they are doing it. I don't think that fact that they've gotten older has anything to do with it. Smoking doesn't have anything to do with maturing

it's not that smoking specifically is a natural part of growing up, but as people are, they try new things as they grow up, so the people who used to be hardcore straight edged might go out and try something and then decide that it's not so bad. That's all I'm saying, that is basically why 5 years ago alot more of "The group" was sXe.

chris has a point with how Btown was never like that ya know seriously a town doesnt have to be all sXe for you to not do shit. its the matter of if the people you are hanging out with dont do it then it never seems to really come up or you dont feel presured to really. I am not going to deny i have done some stuff. Maybe not everyone has but most have tried in their lives. But overall i had never done anything that often and i havent in a while and i dont really depend on doing it because i thought about it for awhile and i realized maybe i am just wasting my life being drunk or something. what is life worth if you cant remember half of it.
and jeff you make some good points. and it is also nice to hang out with people and have a good time and not worry about shit like that.
