Today I was informed that due to budget problems at work they will not be renewing my contract. That is right, on June 30th, the day after my birthday, they will be terminating my employment at the university ( Read more... )

They'll greatly miss you once you're gone and crawl back asking for your return, I'm sure. *noses*

Sounds like you have a fair amount of experience in your position, I'm sorry they're letting you go. With 6 + years, I'm sure you'll get a new job rather quickly.

Still, it's hard to let go when you've been in a place for so long.

Bleh, late again! I'm sorry to hear about the news hon, but like everyone else has said, I'm sure you'll bounce back. After all, you are the most awesomest polar bear I know. AND you're purple! ^.^

Thank you for your kind words, and faith in me. I hope to have something lined up soon enough, but things are tight everywhere right now.

But I will not give up hope.

Thank you Pann. I hope that things turn around quickly, and that I will get back on my feet soon. I have so many things to consider now that I am back on the job market, including whether or not I want to go back into the market, or take some risks and maybe start something on my own..

So many things to think about.
